Federal Minister for IT and Telecom, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui was the chief guest of the ceremony and Federal Secretary for IT and Telecom, Mr. Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui was the guest of honor along with Rector, Virtual University of Pakistan Mr. Naeem Tariq and Prof. Dr. Melinda President AAOU. Dr.Masroor Ellahi Babar, Dean Faculty of Science and Technology Virtual university AAOU 2019  Conference Chair and Dr, Nasir Naveed, Conference co-chair were part of the inauguration ceremony.

Conference speakers included scholars from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, Philippine, China, Vietnam, India, Burma, Malaysia, Japan, Iran, and Maldives.

Speaking on the occasion federal minister said, it’s a great honor and pleasure for Pakistan to host such a big event , he said that with as the world changes rapidly these days, several industries and professions could face challenges and thus needed adaptation as per contemporary trends.

The 1^st day  of conference gathered experts from academia, industry, regulatory bodies and public policy-makers to finalize recommendations in synchrony with international practices aimed at facilitating rapid growth in fields of socio-economic development and meeting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) .
