Sunwalk Group delegation calls on IT Minister Syed Amin Ul Haque

A high level delegation of Sunwalk Group led by its  Chairman Mr. Hou called on Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Amin Ul Haque here on Tuesday.
Matters related to investment in telecom infrastructure, Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) laying and Right of Way (RoW) were discussed during the meeting.
The delegation apprised the Federal Minister IT that  Sunwalk Group intended to invest USD $ 2 Billion in Telecom Sector for deployment of Optical Fiber Network, encompassing area of 100,000 km over a period of time in Pakistan. 
Sunwalk (Pvt) Ltd, is a Telecom and Technology based multinational private Chinese enterprise that has developed multiple Telecom, communication infrastructure projects in China and has acquired TIP License in Pakistan.
The delegation said the company already started deployment and invested about USD $ 5 Million and has a plan to deploy 5000 km OFC as next step.
Federal Minister for IT Syed Amin Ul Haque informed  the delegation that consultation with Ministry of Railways and Highways Authority was going on regarding Right of Way to laying OFC. He assured the delegation that all obstacles regarding OFC laying will be removed soon. 
Chairman Sunwalk Mr. Hou expressed his gratitude to Federal Minister IT Syed Amin Ul Haque and his team for their full support and cooperation.
The meeting was also attended by Member Telecom Muhammad Omar Malik and DG Wireless Jahanzeb Rahim, while the Sunwalk delegation comprised Mr. LoU, Vice President of Sunwalk Group, Mr. Tony Li (Assistant to Chairman),  Mr. Chen Dianbo, (COO of Sunwalk Pakistan) and Ms Afshaan Malik (CBO of Sunwalk Pakistan).
