Minister of State for IT Shaza Fatima meets Chinese Minister of Industry and IT at Beijing

(7-6-2024): Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja held meeting with Chinese Minister of Industry and IT Mr. Jin Zhuanglong at Beijing on Friday. Matters of mutual interest, ICT, digital transformation, digital infrastructure and e-commerce were discussed in the meeting. The two sides reaffirmed their commitment for boosting ties in the field of IT and Telecommunication.
Minister of State for IT Shaza Fatima said Pakistan greatly values its ties with China. She said Pakistan's IT sector was progressing. She appreciated  China's progress in technology field that transformed the nation into knowledge economy.
Shaza Fatima said Chinese companies are leading in Telecommunication, Artificial Intelligence and e-commerce fields, adding that Pakistan wants to get benefit from China's experiences in tech field. She said Pakistan wanted to use technology for economic and social uplift. Under Prime Minister's vision steps are on for digitalizing economy, governance and society, she said. She said Pakistan aspired to enhance ties with China in the sector of IT and Telecommunication.
Chinese Minister for Industry and IT Mr. Jin said China and Pakistan are enjoying deep friendly relations, assuring that China will fully cooperate with Pakistan in IT and telecom sector.
