The Technology Park Islamabad is expected to act as a state-of-the-art facility and part of the enabling environment to foster collaboration, innovation and product development.

The Technology Park Islamabad is expected to act as a state-of-the-art facility and part of the enabling environment to foster collaboration, innovation and product development. It would act as an interface to bring cohesion among academia, research, industry and planners from within Pakistan and abroad. The Park is expected to play a significant role in knowledge & resource management and would mainly be focusing on commercialization of knowledge through managing innovations, business support services, inculcating and promoting entrepreneurship, providing consultancy services as well as providing much needed IT enabled and conducive office space and facilities to IT companies registered with PSEB.

The Ministry of IT & Telecom believes that the project in hand is part and in fact one of the most important constituents of the efforts of the Government of Pakistan. The project has direct linkage and is an important contributor in efforts of Government of Pakistan in achieving the objectives of the Vision 2025 and Information Technology Policy of Ministry of Information Technology.

The project will be financed from Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) of Export Import Bank of Korea and partly from PSDP of Government of Pakistan. The total cost of the Project is PKR 9,246.013 million (US$ 88.384 million) including Rs.7983.091 million (US$ 76.310) from Korean Exim Bank (Loan) and PSDP share of Rs.1262. 922 million (US$ 12.072). Technology Park Islamabad shall be fully operational in December, 2022.

The Technology Park Islamabad shall consist of proposes twelve storeys (10 Storeys above and 2 storeys underground) self-contained buildings having covered areas of approx. 45,000 Square meters with gross area of 68,851.92 Square meters. The Technology Park shall is providing the following facilities:

  • Office space
  • Auditorium,
  • Guest House,
  • Daycare,
  • Gym,
  • Conference Rooms,
  • Restaurants,
  • Tier 3 Data Centre with  colocation services 
  • State of the art ground and underground parking facility for up to 1160 vehicles.
