Engr. Sabheen Ghoury , Parliamentary Secretary IT & Telecommunication

Ms. Sabheen Ghoury is a distinguished public representative, currently serving as the Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Information Technology & Telecommunications and as an elected Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET), one of Pakistan’s premier institutions in engineering and technology. She further pursued a Master’s in Business Administration, specializing in Project Management.
Ms. Ghoury began her political career with the student organization APMSO and went on to serve as Chairperson of Information & Media at the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC). Her early involvement laid the foundation for a dynamic career in both politics and public service.
With over 20 years of experience in the education sector as a businesswoman, she has been a passionate advocate for educational reform. As a member of the Federal Standing Committee on Education, she consistently champions the cause of girls’ education and works towards strengthening access to quality learning across Pakistan.
A long-standing human rights and women’s rights activist, Ms. Ghoury has been actively engaged in advocacy for over 16 years. She plays a vital role in the Standing Committee on Human Rights and is also affiliated with the Working Group of the Parliamentary Caucus on Minority Rights, contributing to legislation and initiatives that promote inclusivity and equality.
In addition to her political and social contributions, Ms. Ghoury brings a strong engineering background to her public service roles. She is the Vice Chairperson of The Engineers Pakistan (TEP) and a Lifetime Member of the Institute of Engineers & Professionals (IEP).
Her diverse expertise in technology, education, governance, and human rights continues to make a meaningful impact on national policy and public discourse.
