The meeting approved USF Company budget Rs. 23 billion for the FY 2024-25 The meeting also gave approval for the releas of Ist quarter budget of current financial year amounting Rs. 5.5 billion to the USF Company. Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja said that youth are the biggest asset of Pakistan as they have very important role in the uplift of the country. She said that government will extend every possible support to youth, adding that it is pivotal to empower youth for country's development. Addressing the National Youth Convention here on Tuesday, Shaza Fatima said big part of Pakistan's population consisted of youth. She said present government is focused upon equipping youth with latest digital skills. She said over Rs. 4 billion will be spent this year for youth skills' development. She said about 4.5 million youth have been trained through DigiSkills Program uptill now, urging youth to get benefit from this program.

ICT export remittances surges to US$ 3.223 billion during FY 2023-24
The ICT services export remittances have surged to US$ 298 million in the month of June, 2024, an astounding increase of 32.44% in comparison to US$ 225 million in June 2023. The ICT export remittances surged to US$ 3.223 billion during FY 2023-24 (July 2023 to June 2024) in comparison to US$ 2.596 billion reported during the last FY 2022-23. Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima said that steps for increase in IT exports are underway.
